Know What Servers Your Users Are On?
Welcome to WolfTech's EmailServers reporting tool. With this tool, you will be able to select your department and receive a complete breakdown of your employees with details of which NCSU mailserver their email is stored on.
Why Do I Care?
Remember the last time you saw an announcement that a campus mailserver went down? Wouldn't you like to know immediately which of your users are affected? How many help desk calls could you avoid with this information? How often do you find out about a user being affected by an outage because he or she stormed into your office? This tool will allow you to be prepared for that unpleasant confrontation.
How to Use:
Simply click on the "Report" tab above. Once you've logged in -- all NCSU faculty and staff have access -- simply select your department. Once you've done so, you'll be presented with a list of email servers that house your users. Please note that currently we only have access to view this information for Cyrus email users -- we hope to update this tool to report on users on the GroupWise system at a later date. Select either the server you care about (the one you've just heard is down), or any, or all of them. Then hit "View Report".
